As of lately…

For those who have been following, my dad is officially home from the hospital.  He is doing good and expected to make a full recovery.  He, of course, will be out of commission for about 6 weeks, but I doubt that will last.  Again, I want to thank everyone for the prayers and good wishes.  It really means a lot to me and my family as this was a difficult time for all of us.

Since Dad is home now, I have been given the go-ahead from the family to have the baby… you know, as if I was in control of the situation the whole time  🙂  So, basically I AM STILL PREGNANT.  I spoke with my midwife on Friday about going over my due date and she said something that although was extremely comforting, it was also hard to hear.  She said I was just a late ovulater like she was with her kids.  All this meaning that my body simply bakes the goodies in the oven a little bit longer than usual and there isn’t anything to worry about.  See what I mean about comforting and hard to hear?  So I’m not the only one out there who goes way past their due date for each kid, but it makes for a slightly longer pregnancy on my end.  Lucky me… (slight sarcasm, but there is an end to this treachery 🙂 There has to be, right?)  Oh, I have an appointment on Monday with my midwife and we shall decide what to do as far as having the baby.  It isn’t suggested to go past 41 weeks after having a previous C-section, but we’ll have to see how things go.  I’ll let you know what the outcome is and what we decide.

Also, the room project is back in action.  Yes, over a week later.  It is still slow going, so I won’t bore you to tears with pictures of minimum progress.  Do know, it’s happening and should be done soon.  I also said this last time and well, my dad ended up in the hospital… so I’ll just stick with it’s a work in progress and I’ll post the end results when it’s complete.

Anyone else part of the “I have babies late” club? What did you do to maintain your sanity everyday?
